Wearing the Right Amount of Perfume

Is your perfume giving them a headache?

How much perfume is too much? We believe that perfume should be used as a small accent in an effort to compliment your look—but there are many women out there that tend to overdo it by spraying too much perfume. Knowing when “enough is enough” is key to wearing any of our fragrances gracefully.

Spray your key points

Many women feel the need to cover themselves in perfume—spraying their clothing as well as their skin. If you tend to spray perfume haphazardly, then the chances are that you are using too much. To avoid this, spray the key locations on your body. Key locations are behind the ears, on your neck, and on your wrists. Start off by spraying only one key point at a time. Spraying multiple key points can result in an overpowering scent.

The key points are ideal for perfume because they’re above major veins that pump blood through your body. The pumping action also pumps the perfume—so you don’t really need to spray anywhere else. The key is to create a delicate scent.

How do people react?

Many times, people are unaware that they’re using too much perfume. Try gauging people’s reactions. Usually when perfume smells too strong, people will lean back to try to avoid the aroma.

The fragrances here at LONDONS Bathecary are beautiful when worn properly—in delicate moderation.
